So… this is why I do business with Eric over at Fine Lumber. I asked him to pick me out a couple of nice pieces of wood, and this is what he sent me. Pow. That’s two slabs of Padauk, one of them over 11′ long… awesome. (Notice the Dr. Pepper to the right of the boards… yeah… they’re huge.) I was expecting standard 6-8″ wide boards, thinking I’d use it as an accent wood in some small projects… not anymore. These boards deserve to have a piece build around them… I’ll let you know what I come up with… friggin awesome.

ok. I’ve tried to wrap my brain around this for several weeks, and shit, man… I’ve got nothing. Someone, please explain to me how this happened. Cause, you know… its fucking weird. Anyone?

so, was out in oregon for a few weeks… highs in the seventies, snow capped mountains in the distance… all good things. got out a few times and sampled some local flavor… they do things a little different than we do here in centex. here’s the elevation chart for the ride…



6 mile, 2800 vertical foot death march to get to the top, and then the fastest, sweetest singletrack back down to the start…. incredible trail. lots and lots of fun. got a few pics, will post them later… going back in august, and promise to get some better shots then…
